The Blue Magazine Mourns the Passing of Kirk Lawless

A retired law enforcement officer and a respected voice in our community Kirk was a longtime writer for the Blue Magazine. In 2022 Kirk was awarded as our Senior Journalist of the Year at the Blue Unity Night gala.

Kirk carried integrity in uniform and conviction in his writing. He understood both the responsibility of the badge and the power of the pen.

We are grateful for the service he gave and the perspective he shared. Our deepest condolences go out to his family and all who knew him. His service will be remembered and his voice will endure.
